Everyday's a brand new day

The blog is mainly for my travel diary and diet record, but sometimes for sharing some daily findings :).
All articles will be fully in English, in order for me to improve my writing skill.

Japanese style breakfast

A Japanese style breakfast.

In fact, I love rice... I really do...

So it's kind of hard for me to give up rice at dinner, even for diet.

But if I have it at breakfast or lunch, it should be ok... at least I believe it is.

Besides, in Japan, it's considered to be quite healthy to have rice, main course, salad and soup!

Hence, this breakfast is suppose to be wonderful!!!

Anyway, having good breakfast is becoming my new tradition.

About going out for running, I tried once and decided to save it until spring...

Please don't take me wrongly... it's just because it's too cold in the evening.

I'll absolutely start over when it becomes warmer!. Well, let's see what I say in April ;)

And Feecycle tonight!

1 month passed since diet started

Time flies!
It's already been a month since 2017 started and since I started being on diet.
Feelcycle has become a part of my daily life.
And I've got used to wake up earlier and have breakfast.
The weight is kind of up and down but I feel that I'm on the right track.

For instance, feelcycel, a month ago, I couldn't keep up for full 45 minutes, but now I'm quite OK.  After 45 minutes of exercise, of course I get tired but in a good way.  I don't know if there's an expression like that but I feel "comfortably tired".
The only problem is... it's always hard to book the lessons after work, as I assume that there're many people who want to do the same.

So... as I've got used to do exercise and somehow enjoying it, I've made a decision to go little bit further; jogging!
One of my friends said that doing sports is like taking drugs.
Now I think I can understand what she meant.  Once we got to know the stimulation that sports can give us, we'll want it more.

And this is what I got delivered by Amazon this morning!!

Do you know how many calories doughnut has?

Since I started the diet, I've been keeping record of the food I had everyday, first in the notebook and then in iPhone app.
For the first few days, it was quite OK for me to avoid eating chocolate, candy or any sort of sweets.  But it's literally impossible to keep avoiding them forever...especially for a person like me who love this kind of staff.
So I allowed myself to have one in 2 to 3 days.  Then I started paying attention to calory information printed on every package of sweets I can find in convenience stores...
Honestly, I've never really cared this type of information before...
Today, I was quite hungry at around 16:00 and bought a doughnut at a convenience store.  When I casually dropped my eyes on the package, I was appalled and shocked... It said "369kcal" (!!?) that is more than half the calory of lunch I had!
Maybe this is totally a common sense for many ladies... how ignorant I've been.
I'm pretty sure that I've had the doughnut at least 5 times in the last 1 year.
Well, I've read that a recent study is showing that calory is not directly correlated to obesity, but still, high calory foods usually contain lots of sugar and fat... That, of course, is not good for health and diet.  The problem is...those food are normally tasty.. :(

So much about calory and food...
About Feelcycle, I took lessons on the weekend and plan to take 2 more lessons during the week.  It's been good fun so far.  Although it's really tough, somehow I enjoy most of the lessons.  For the first few times, I rent a set of wear, but now I've got my own sportswear.  Forever 21 has very good sportswear for quite reasonable price.  Good, in this case, means good in quality and also in design.

Further progress will be shared in coming articles!
